From the Desk of the TMLS...
YouTube Video Links as Virtual Tours Prohibited

Virtual tours hosted by YouTube are not in compliance with TMLS Rules and Regulations.
TMLS Rules and Regulations Section 1.2 Contact information or marketing or promotional messages shall only be displayed in the Agent Only Remarks field. Contact information and marketing or promotional messages shall not be displayed in the Remarks (excluding Agent Only Remarks), Directions or Financial Comments or any other data field or the media attached to the listing. Media includes photos, virtual tours, architectural renderings, documents, website links, etc.

You Tube videos promote other videos, often contain contact, marketing and promotional information and frequently include links to an agent or firm website. The listing firm does not have enough control over the YouTube website display to comply with the MLS rules. Therefore, virtual tour links to YouTube are prohibited.

On October 1st, TMLS Compliance will begin sending out notifications for listings that contain YouTube video links. If you are currently using a YouTube link as your virtual tour in your MLS listing, please have it removed no later than October 1st.
