Mandatory Education and Ethics Requirement

Back in December we posted a reminder to attend your ethics class by the end of 2012.  Here's your second reminder :)  On top of the ethics requirement, we currently have about 10 weeks for every Go agent to complete their mandatory education requirements this year.  In addition to the mandatory update and 4 hour elective, this year marks the final year in the four-year-cycle for a mandatory ethics class, required by our membership in the National Association of Realtors.

In random surveys, I know that most of us don't have a clue if we have taken an ethics class since Jan. 1, 2009.  Here's how you can find out.

Go Durham Agents visit this page on the DRAR web site  Then look up your name and roll over the far right column.  There you will find a date that records your last ethics course.  If that date reads, Dec. 31/2008 or EARLIER - you need to take a course by the end of this calendar year.

Go Holly Springs  and Go Cary agents, please visit this page at the RRAR site to determine your status on the ethics course.

Here are a few tips for those who need the ethics class:  If you have not taken your elective CE course yet, combine the effort.  Take a qualifying ethics course for your elective class.  If you have already taken your elective course, take the FREE online ethics class referenced in the December post.

Dazed and confused?  See your local Go BIC and we'll help you out.
