Welcome Paula!

Every once in a while it's important to just go for it. Yesterday Jim and I took one of those steps. Big one. We created a position and hired Paula Ilissyn to serve as Talent Scout for Go Realty. She's kind of a big deal. Over the past ten days, we have interviewed her extensively, listened to her story, and become excited about her passion for recruiting great real estate agents. Her energy is amazing, her passion for success is white hot, and we believe in her abilities to connect with agents and move them to our team.

Paula recently left the role of CEO/Team Leader with Keller Williams in Chapel Hill. She also held that position with KW Hudson Valley Realty in New City, NY. Paula's background includes time as an agent in general brokerage, on site sales management, and building a commercial real estate division. She even owned and operated her own firm. We think her experience in the industry and her passion to recruit will be major contributors to us taking very big steps in 2012.

Personally, I have seen Paula's genuine love for people as she has engaged with us at the office. She's an achiever, a leader, and some one who is going to drive hard toward our goals. She is also someone who understands the meaning of team and the joy of achieving monumental goals together. I guess one of her references, a business owner, said it best, "You'd be a knuckle head not to hire her." I sure don't want to be known as a knuckle head.

Over the next ten days as she transitions into Go, her schedule will be a bit inconsistent. During that time, we have two main goals: Her orientation to Go Realty is one. The second is a listening tour. Paula intends to meet with every one of you to get your perspective on Go, what makes it special, and how we operate. We deeply appreciate her commitment to exploring and embracing our culture.

Yesterday she showed up in a lovely yellow track suit for our meetings. I think that is pretty indicative to her approach: She's ready to run. Please join Jim and me in welcoming her to the team.

Welcome, Paula, to the Go Family. We are so glad you're with us!
