Why "Y"?

Today's Social Media class with Ryan Vet was awesome! I found myself thinking the entire time, "What an incredibly SHARP 23 year old!" So much insight and business savvy for such a young man.  I've been to many Social Media classes as well as Generation classes over the years but this was the perfect fusion of both.   Not only did he explain the power of his generation and how it can impact our businesses, but he did it in a way that every generation listening wanted to hear what he had to say.  The Millenium's (Y's) are now the largest generation out there....they have surpassed the Baby Boomers in size. They have money and want to spend it but we need to communicate with them on THEIR level if we want their business!   As I listened to him I remember thinking, this is exactly why I came to GO. I was one of those agents that was very happy at my last company and did a lot of volume but I wanted to take my business to another level. I wanted to be "pushed" into the direction I saw Real Estate heading.  I wanted to be part of the future!  Every reference Ryan made in his presentation is what we're doing at GO and why we're so different. I feel like we're carving a new path and the public is loving it!

Why is Social Media important?
1. It shows people you're current
2. It shows people how much you care
3. It shows people you are connected

We all know real estate is about relationships, and social media is exactly that.....building relationships!

Afterall, people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care!
