Inbox Zero - Step 7 - Report Spam

spam-in-a-can

Thanks to google, we see only about 10% of the spam that attempts to invade our inbox.  Gmail has amazing spam filters that zap your spam before it gets to you.  But every once and a while you'll get some spam.  Take 1 second and click the "REPORT SPAM" button on the gmail tool bar.  It's easy and it will help google refine their SPAM filters even further.

Picture 25 million people teaching google which emails are real and which are spam...it's powerful!  So please play along, it will help us all!

NOTE:  Spam by definition is "unsolicited bulk email"...email that you never signed up for and never wanted.  This is different from all those hundreds of mailing lists that you are on...you can tell it's spam because there is not an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom.  Please keep this difference in mind.  It won't help you to report items as spam that you should unsubscribe to...
